Our joy

The boys are loving summer: swimming, parks, zoo, acquariums, water slides in the back yard, sleep overs, and of course, they think everybody has home work like they do... read, math, journal.... :-) Shhh!

I turned 9 on April 6th

I had a party with a piƱata! It actually broke open with my hit!

AND everyone (the adults) read blessings they had prepared for me. My dad read his. He cries when he does stuff like that and hugs me a lot. :-)

Hot Sauce!

My brother and I have discovered "Hot Sauce". My Dad says we're natives now, our genes coming to the surface. We love it. Here we are with eggs or toast.

Me, ready for breakfast!

Jordan, already after his tucker.

Celebration in the Oaks

A tradition here in New Orleans is to go to Celebration in the Oaks. This is held in City Park - a huge park (begun as a plantation). Since Katrina it has been only a walking event. We look forward to the driving part also, but we had a great fun night there! We saw so much, including this very old Carousel (in the photo). We also rode the train around the park.

Also, my dad coaches Lacrosse at Jesuit High School. He's the head coach with lots of assistants. They won 8 to 3.
I am going to play one day. I have a crosse (That's French for stick) now and a ball. My brother has one also.
We had a great time together. Visiting us was Matt and Amy. Matt has a green shirt and Amy is sitting in front of him with a black shirt. They'll move here next summer.
